HOT THOUGHTS ENTERS THE U.S. ALBUMS CHART AT #9

HITS CAREER HIGH CHART POSITIONS IN EIGHT COUNTRIES

WORLD TOUR RESUMES APRIL 27

“These are after-dark explorations undertaken in thrilling ways”—TIME

“Hot Thoughts swings, in the raw guitar-centric tradition of the Rolling Stones. A carefully sequenced descent into a subterranean disco populated by ghosts and phantoms.” – THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE

“All strut and energy, and the effect is magnetic”—BUST

Spoon album number nine has entered the U.S. album chart at… number nine.

Released March 17 on Matador Records, Hot Thoughts continues the streak of top 10 charting Spoon records that began in 2007 with Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and has continued through Transference (2010) and They Want My Soul (2014) up to the present.

In other Spoon news, Hot Thoughts’ international reception marks the highest chart positions of the band’s 20+ year career in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland.

Following on Spoon’s ecstatically received hometown three-fer at this year’s SXSW and a subsequent Australian jaunt, the band will resume the Hot Thoughts world tour April 27 in Mobile, AL.
