PJ Harvey and Ramy Essam to release ‘The Camp’ on

Friday June 9th 2017

PJ Harvey and Egyptian recording artist Ramy Essam have come together to write and record ‘The Camp’ – a track which they hope will raise awareness and much needed support towards the health and educational well-being of displaced children in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon.

‘The Camp’ will be digitally on Friday 9 June 2017. Harvey and Essam recorded the track in Bristol with Harvey’s longtime collaborator John Parish, who produced and mixed the track, and also appears on drums and guitars. The artists will donate all net profits from the track to Beyond Association in the Bekaa Valley, a national Lebanese non-Governmental Organization. Beyond Association provides services such as access to education, healthcare, and psycho-social support mainly through art therapy, neuro-physiotherapy, and recreational activities.

“It is hard to comprehend the scale of the crisis in Lebanon, a country of 4 million now hosting over 1 million Syrian refugees,” states photo-journalist Giles Duley whose arresting photographs feature in the official music video, edited by Rick Holbrook. “The infrastructure of the country is pushed to its limit, and nowhere is that situation more desperate than in the Bekaa Valley. However, there are some amazing organizations doing incredible, effective, and selfless work on the ground there, and all of the NGOs I have documented, none have impressed me more than Beyond. To visit their schools and witness their programs is to see hope – and that is something we have to support.”

Discussing how the project came to be, PJ Harvey explains how she instinctively knew that she wanted to collaborate with Essam; be it as a contribution to one of his ongoing projects, or something entirely new. “I began putting some ideas on paper, and sent over rough demos of two or three songs in their early forms,” recalls Harvey. One of these songs would ultimately become The Camp. When discussing the subject matter of the track, Ramy Essam speaks of his experiences during the revolution in the streets of Egypt. “I dealt with fights, beating, torture and the loss of friends,” he explains. While Essam’s struggle continues, he speaks fondly of the unique opportunity to work with PJ Harvey. “She is a humble person and true artist that I only could dream to even meet – and now I’m singing with her for this important cause, for humanity,” said Essam of the collaboration. “It was an honour to work with PJ Harvey, and I found it so inspiring. It gave me a chance to live my dream for a while.”

“When Polly and Ramy asked me to help provide some of the visuals for The Camp, I had no difficulty in deciding what photographs we should use,” says Giles Duley. “In my work I have documented the effects of conflict and humanitarian disaster across the world, but little has had greater impact on me than the human drama I witnessed on the island of Lesvos in 2015. I thought I had seen it all, but I can honestly say I have never been so overwhelmed as by the human drama that I watched unfolding on those beaches. Its sheer scale was hard to comprehend; the lack of response impossible to explain or excuse. So it is those images from the beaches, and the refugees’ journey from Greece to Germany that we used in the video for The Camp.”

U2: THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017 – THE TOUR OF THE YEAR GETS EXTENDED!

U2 THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR 2017

THE TOUR OF THE YEAR GETS EXTENDED!

WITH NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED IN NORTH AMERICA, MEXICO & SOUTH AMERICA

TO CELEBRATE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAND’S CLASSIC FIFTH ALBUM

“They are a live act simply without peer… it really felt like they were reapplying for the job of the best band in the world by showing how they earned the title in the first place.”—ROLLING STONE

“For the performance of The Joshua Tree… the band members took places on the full-sized stadium stage. They were ascending the way their career did… The band was dwarfed, but the music wasn’t. Larry Mullen Jr. on drums, Adam Clayton on bass and the Edge on guitar tore into the urgent rhythmic flux of ‘Where the Streets Have No Name.’ Against the craggy postpunk groove of ‘Bullet the Blue Sky,’ both Bono’s falsetto and the Edge’s guitar leads were keening sirens.”—THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Thirty years can’t dull searing music, hopeful lyrics or the captivating Irish band behind them”
—USA TODAY

“The iconic rockers not only unpack a masterpiece but provide moments to hold on to forever”
—CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

APPEARING MAY 11th ON ABC’s JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE

Album Cover

“in•ter a•li•a resumes precisely where At the Drive In paused after its 2000 album, Relationship of Command. It’s fast, complicated and tuneful over a turbulent foundation, forceful but also familiar… A sense of catastrophe collides with a blast of resistance. It’s the sound of a band very deliberately reclaiming a style its fans had missed.”—THE NEW YORK TIMES

This Cinco de Mayo will celebrate the closing of a 17 year void between At The Drive In albums: The long awaited follow up to 2000’s Relationship Of Command has finally and fully materialized in the form of in • ter a • li • a, out today, May 5th, on Rise Records.

PAUL MCCARTNEY: ONE ON ONE TOUR 2017

Exciting Production Enhancements Move The Start Of Paul’s
North American Tour To Friday, July 7 In Miami

Go To http://paulmccartney.com/ For Further Details

Paul McCartney’s One On One tour’s July 5th U.S. opener at Miami’s American Airlines Arena has been re-scheduled to FRIDAY JULY  7th to accommodate enhancements to the tour’s production. Tickets for the original July 5th date will be honored for the July 7th performance.  Those unable to attend the re-scheduled date will be able to receive refunds at their original point of purchase.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but sincerely hope that everyone will be able to attend the show and enjoy an amazing evening.

Following Paul’s first Miami appearance since his Up & Coming Tour hit Sun Life Stadium in 2010, One On One heads northwest to Tampa, where Paul will play July 10th at the Amalie Arena, returning to the city for the first time since his 2005 US Tour. From there, the tour plays July 13th at the Infinity Energy Arena in Duluth GA, July 15th at CenturyLink Center in Bossier City LA, July 17th at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City OK, and July 19th at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita KS. On July 21st Paul plays the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines IA followed by a July 23rd stop at CenturyLink Center in Omaha NE, returning to both cities for the first time since 2005’s US Tour. The tour’s July run now concludes with two nights July 25th and 26th at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, Tinley Park in Tinley Park IL—Paul’s first appearances in the region since his now-legendary 2015 Lollapalooza headline.

One On One’s 2017 U.S. run will resume with Paul’s first ever shows at the Prudential Center in Newark NJ on September 11th and 12th. Paul will then take up residence in New York City, playing his first full shows at Madison Square Garden since 2005 on September 15th and 17th, then getting back to the scene of his unforgettable 2013 Brooklyn shows to play the Barclays Center on September 19th and 21st. Paul will then head upstate to make his debut appearance in Syracuse NY, playing the Carrier Dome on September 23rd, followed on September 26th and 27th by Paul’s first shows at Long Island’s NYCB Live’s Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum since 2002’s Driving USA Tour. One On One’s fall dates will draw to a close October 1st and 2nd at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, Paul’s first shows at the brand new venue and first visit to the Motor City since 2015.

Paul McCartney’s One On One tour opened April 13, 2016 with Paul’s debut concert in Fresno CA. The show, which opened with Paul’s first performance of “A Hard Day’s Night” since The Beatles last played it 1965, drew instant and unanimous raves from near (“McCartney’s abundance of natural charm and charisma made this sold-out arena show feel and more like a really big piano bar”—The Fresno Bee) and far (“nearly three hours of music that moved gracefully from the intimate to the explosive… the emphasis never drifted from the music, ranging from generational anthems to post-Beatles deep cuts”—Rolling Stone). One On One has since logged 36 shows and counting, spanning the globe from North and South America to the UK and Europe and a current run of Japanese dates. Venues have ranged from packed stadiums and arenas to one of the most intimate gigs of Paul’s solo career to date at the 300-capacity Pappy & Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace in tiny Pioneertown, CA. One On One’s 2016 run wrapped up with two headlining sets at the historic Desert Trip festival in Indio, CA, which featured surprise guest appearances from Neil Young and Rihanna—a fitting coda to a tour that featured Paul joined on encores by the likes of Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic in Seattle, Jimmy Fallon in Vancouver, and both Bob Weirof the Grateful Dead and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski at a record-breaking show at Boston’s Fenway Park.

The Paul McCartney live experience is everything any music lover could ever want from a rock show—and so much more: Nearly three hours worth of the greatest moments from the last 50 years of music, dozens of songs that have formed the soundtracks of our lives. Paul and his band have played an unparalleled range of venues and locations: outside the Coliseum in Rome, Moscow’s Red Square, Buckingham Palace, The White House, a free show in Mexico for over 400,000 people, the last ever show at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park where The Beatles played their final concert 1966, and even one performance broadcast live into Space! Featuring Paul’s band of the last 10+ years – Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray(bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson(guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr (drums) – the show is never anything short of life-changing.

As with every Paul McCartney tour, One On One features dozens of classics from the most beloved catalog in popular music, spanning Paul’s entire career–as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle—and no shortage of surprises. State of the art audio and video technology ensure an unforgettable experience from every seat in the house: Massive screens, lasers, fireworks and, of course, a staggering selection of the best songs ever written or performed make every Paul McCartney show a once in a lifetime event that transcends and elevates the potential of live music.

Paul will then head upstate to make his debut appearance in Syracuse NY, playing the Carrier Dome on September 23rd, followed onSeptember 26th and 27th by Paul’s first shows at Long Island’s NYCB Live’s Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum since 2002’s Driving USA Tour.

The newly added dates in New Jersey, New York, Brooklyn and Uniondale all go on sale to the public on May 12 at 9am. Tinley Park goes on sale to the public May 12 at 10am. The new Detroit show will be on sale to the public May 13 at 10am. Oklahoma City goes on sale to the public May 15 at 10am.

Before Released Tracks: “I Promise,” “Lift,” “Man Of War”

Out June 23 on XL Recordings

Boxed Edition Shipping July

Preorder Live Now at www.OKNOTOK.co.uk

Rescued from defunct formats, prised from dark cupboards and brought to light after two decades in cold storage… OKNOTOK will be issued June 23rd on XL Recordings, coinciding (roughly) with the original 1997 release date(s) of Radiohead’s landmark third album OK COMPUTER.

OKNOTOK features the original OK COMPUTER twelve track album, eight B-sides, and the Radiohead completist’s dream: “I Promise,” “Lift,” and  “Man Of War.” The original studio recordings of these three previously unreleased and long sought after OK COMPUTER era tracks finally receive their first official issue on OKNOTOK.

All material on OKNOTOK is newly remastered from the original analogue tapes.

The OKNOTOK BOXED EDITION will ship July, featuring a black box emblazoned with a dark image of a burned copy of OK COMPUTER containing three heavyweight 180 gram black 12″ vinyl records and a hardcover book containing more than thirty artworks (many of which have never been seen before) and full lyrics to all the tracks (except the ones that haven’t really got any lyrics). Under this weighty tome are yet more surprises: a notebook containing 104 pages from Thom Yorke’s library of scrawled notes of the time, a sketchbook containing 48 pages of Donwood and Tchock’s ‘preparatory work’ and a C90 cassette mix tape compiled by the band, taken from OK COMPUTER session archives and demo tapes.

Digital formats, double CD, and triple 180g LP versions of the 23 track album will be released widely on June 23rd.

OK COMPUTER was originally released on various dates ranging from May to July 1997. Produced by the band and Nigel Godrich, the album features the singles  “Paranoid Android,” “Karma Police,” “Lucky” and “No Surprises,” and is widely cited as one of the greatest works of Radiohead’s–or any artist’s—catalogue. OK COMPUTER was the first Radiohead record to reach #1 in the UK and to be nominated for the Album of the Year GRAMMY. In 2015, The National Recording Registry selected OK COMPUTER to be preserved in the Library of Congress as a recording that has proven “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Hiding All Away – Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds DVD

“There are some people out there who just don’t know where to start with The Bad Seeds. Others know the catalogue better than I do! This release is designed to be a way into three decades of music making. That’s a lot of songs. The songs we have chosen are the ones that have stuck around, for whatever reason. Some songs are those that demand to be played live. Others are lesser songs that are personal favorites of ours. Others are just too big and have too much history to leave out. And there are those that didn’t make it, poor things. They are the ones you must discover by yourselves.” Nick Cave

Lovely Creatures is the most comprehensive overview of the recorded work of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to date. Spanning thirty years of music from their debut album From Her To Eternity through to Push The Sky Away their 15th studio album, the collection navigates one of the most exhilarating, idiosyncratic and inventive bodies of work created in contemporary music.

Included are long-standing live favorites “Stagger Lee” and “The Mercy Seat”, their hit single from 1995 “Where The Wild Roses Grow” through to recent fan favorites “Jubilee Street” and “We No Who U R”. There are songs that newcomers may only know from their appearance on film and television soundtracks, notably “O Children” (Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. I)  and the ubiquitous “Red Right Hand”, most recently familiar to fans of the series Peaky Blinders.

The album was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds. Band members past and present raided their personal archives to provide previously unseen photos and memorabilia which have been collected into a beautiful hardcover book, along with a series of original essays. The book is available as part of the limited edition ‘Super Deluxe’ album collection that also comes with a two hour DVD containing rare and unseen archive footage. Lovely Creatures is available in four formats, all featuring personal and rare photographs of the band:  Standard CD, Triple LP, Deluxe 3CD with DVD and the Super Deluxe Limited Edition package.

Lovely Creatures was originally intended for release in 2015. Since its postponement the band have recorded and released their highly acclaimed 16th studio album Skeleton Tree.
