THE BLACK BELLES RETURN TO HAUNT THE U.S.
FEBRUARY-MARCH TOUR DATES CONFIRMED, MORE TO COME
FULL LENGTH DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW ON THIRD MAN RECORDS
Having completed a fall 2011 run of dates that included east coast dates with Le Butcherettes, The Black Belles will bring their irresistibly unsettling garage grind–described as “positively bewitching” by VOGUE.com–to several more U.S. cities beginning next month.
The tour kicks off February 5 at the Center Stage in Muncie IN with a run of dates supporting Bleached, featuring sisters Jennifer and Jessica Clavin from legendary L.A. punk band Mika Miko.
The Bleached/Black Belles shows will hit New York, Nashville, Atlanta, among others, before wrapping with a February 15 show at Chicago’s Empty Bottle. Following the Chicago show, The Black Belles will support Strange Boys for a pair of dates, as well as headlining a few of their own shows. See the itinerary below for full details.
The Black Belles’ Jack White-produced self-titled debut was released on the appropriately Autumnal date of November 8, 2011 and immediately hailed by CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND as “compulsively listenable ’60s garage rock draped in black lace and a sneer.” The band’s record release show at Third Man’s Nashville HQ was the sole opportunity to purchase one of 300 limited edition Black Belles LPs featuring its original recalled cover art and pressed on TMR’s exclusive glow in the dark “Absinthe” vinyl.
Further dates will be announced as they are confirmed.
