“Louisiana banshee turns gloomy outlook into gutter-rock gold” –SPIN
“Talented, individual, and somewhat freaky..” –PITCHFORK
“We Sing of Only Blood or Love is the heavy-psychedelic-R&B-gospel-blues album of the year.”–DECIBEL
After a successful fall tour with Queens of the Stone Age and appearances at the Austin City Limits festival and Lollapalooza, Dax Riggs will return to the road with select US dates throughout the month of February, starting at the intimate Frankies Inner City club in Toledo, Ohio.
After the demise of his former band, the critically acclaimed deadboy & the Elephantmen, Dax ventured forth by releasing his solo debut last summer, We Sing of Only Blood or Love (Fat Possum). Praise quickly followed, with accolades from publications including the New York Times, Esquire, Interview, the Los Angeles Times, a prominent ‘Breaking Out’ feature in Spin magazine, and Top 10 of 2007 rankings from Decibel and the Chicago Daily Herald. Catch Dax on the road and see it all for yourself before he heads back into the studio.
Drummer Andy McLeod will join Dax once again, with other touring members to be announced shortly.
