ANDREW BIRD: NOBLE BEAST RELEASE DATE MOVED UP TO JANUARY 20

LIMITED DELUXE EDITION TO FEATURE USELESS CREATURES INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM

Andrew Bird has confirmed that his new studio album Noble Beast will now be released January 20, 2009 on Fat Possum Records. Noble Beast is the follow up to Bird’s critically acclaimed 2007 set Armchair Apocrypha which has sold over 100,000 copies to date.

Noble Beast will also be available in a very limited deluxe 2-CD edition that will also include Useless Creatures, a bonus disc of original instrumental works featuring collaborations with Glenn Kotche and Todd Sickafoose. The deluxe edition, which will be available exclusively to physical retailers, will feature a stunning custom package including extra photos, a fold-out poster, and a 24-page lyric booklet illustrated by Diana Sudyka.

As previously confirmed, tickets are now on sale for the first leg of a North American tour in support of Noble Beast, beginning with Bird’s first ever headline engagement at Carnegie Hall on January 28. This run of theater headlines will be opened by LONEY DEAR with the exception of Carnegie Hall, which will feature DOSH as support.
