ARCADE FIRE has announced its first U.S. headline dates since 2007’s Neon Bible tour. Pre-Sales are now live at arcadefire.com for the dates, which are as follows:

August 1 – Boston – Bank of America Pavilion
August 2 – Philadelphia – Mann Center for the Performing Arts
August 4 – New York – Madison Square Garden
August 6 – Columbia MD – Merriweather Post Pavilion
August 9 – Nashville – Ryman Auditorium
August 11 – Atlanta – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park

SPOON is confirmed as special guest on the New York, Philadelphia, DC and Atlanta dates, which bookend the ARCADE FIRE’s  previously announced August 8 Lollapalooza appearance and the release of the band’s third full-length studio album, The Suburbs, out August 3rd on Merge.

ARCADE FIRE also announced yesterday that the band will play two very special intimate shows at Sherbrooke QUE’s Theater Granada on June 7 and 8. For a complete listing of upcoming ARCADE FIRE gigs, see below. Further dates will be announced as they are confirmed.

Written, arranged, performed and produced by the ARCADE FIRE and co-produced by Markus Dravs, The Suburbs was recorded around Montreal and New York over the past two years. A double A side, limited edition 12″ was released to record stores May 27th 2010, featuring the title track and “Month of May,” both of which are available for immediate download with album pre-orders placed at arcadefire.com.

Formed in Montreal, the ARCADE FIRE is Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Jeremy Gara.
