LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN CONFIRMED FOR DECEMBER 5

SOLD OUT TOUR TO CONTINUE THROUGH DECEMBER 13

“SONG OF THE MONTH (Lucky Now)… Ashes & Fire, feels like the record we always suspected he had in him. It is too good not to write about”–ESQUIRE

“a slow-burning splendor… will leave you speechless”–PEOPLE

“with this gorgeous, shimmering solo album, Adams restores faith in the increasingly saggy singer/songwriter genre”–USA TODAY

Having sold 49,391 copies since its October 11 release on PAX-AM/Capitol, Ryan Adams’ Ashes & Fire has debuted at #7 on the U.S. album chart–tying the career high chart debut of Adams’ Easy Tiger in 2007.

With the album and its accompanying run of sold out tour dates generating escalating raves,  Adams will continue touring in North America and abroad. His current itinerary has him on the road until a December 13 appearance at the State Theater in Minneapolis and includes a December 6 stop at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

On December 5, Ryan will return once more to The Late Show With David Letterman.

Ashes & Fire is eleven succinct and beautiful samples of Adams at his songwriting, performing and singing best. The record was produced by Glyn Johns, renowned for his work with the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash and The Rolling Stones, and whose son Ethan produced previous Adams landmarks including Heartbreaker and Gold. The record also features guest turns from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and Norah Jones, who contributes piano and backing vocals to several tracks.
