RYAN ADAMS ADDS DATES TO SOLD OUT NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

“Lucky Now” #1 at AAA Radio

In the wake of his single “Lucky Now” reaching #1 on the AAA radio chart this week, his critically acclaimed Ashes & Fire (PAX-AM/Capitol) debuting at #7 last month, and his every date in 2011 selling out in advance, Ryan Adams has announced his first live appearances of 2012: an eight date run commencing January 24 in Bethesda, MD and concluding February 2 in Denver, CO.

Adams’ current run of sold out tour dates has been generating escalating raves and will wrap up 2011 with a December 13 appearance at the State Theater in Minneapolis. Remaining engagements for 2011 also include a December 6 stop at New York’s famed Carnegie canadajacketsoutlet Hall as well as a December 5 appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and an accompanying Live on Letterman performance.

Generating arguably the best reviews of his career, Ashes & Fire is eleven succinct and beautiful songs that “will leave you speechless” according to PEOPLE, and hailed by ESQUIRE as “too good not to write about” and byUSA TODAY as a record that “restores faith in the increasingly saggy singer/songwriter genre,” Ashes & Fire was produced by Glyn Johns, renowned for his work with the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash and The Rolling Stones, and whose son Ethan produced previous Adams solo landmarks including Heartbreaker and Gold. The record also features guest Canada Goose Women Parka turns from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and Norah Jones, who contributes piano and backing vocals to several tracks.
