MAGIC HOUR OUT NOVEMBER 5 ON CITY SONG
“Luscious Jackson are back and they’re still sounding damn good. We already heard ‘Show Us What You Got,’ and ‘Are You Ready?’ Now there’s another one, ‘So Rock On,’ which sounds like it could have come from their heyday… in all the right ways. The attitude and coolness are still there but the actual production sounds totally fresh”–STEREOGUM
“‘So Rock On’ harkens back to their alt-rock roots with warm harmonies and some reggae-influenced, funky rock.”–NPR ALL SONGS CONSIDERED
Luscious Jackson has confirmed the first network TV appearance of its recently reunited lineup: On November 18, Jill Cunniff, Gabby Glaser and Kate Schellenbach will return to The Late Show with David Letterman for the first time in over a decade.
The Letterman booking follows the announcement of Luscious Jackson’s new album Magic Hour, out November 5 on the band’s own City Song label–as well as two inaugural reunion shows: November 23 at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer and December 7 at Webster Hall in their native New York City.
