Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Anthony Kiedis are excited to announce an exclusive dinner gala and auction on Saturday, October 17 to benefit the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. The event will be hosted in an un-disclosed Frog Town warehouse where 300 guests will enjoy a night filled with music and art. John Legend will headline the night’s festivities with additional music provided by jazz legend Kamasi Washington. Guests will also be treated to a special acoustic performance by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The SCM benefit will also include a lavish silent auction curated by Dana Louise Kirkpatrick, Flea and Deborah McCleod (Director, Gagosian Gallery). Confirmed artists who have generously donated original works to the auction include Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Ed Ruscha, Raymond Pettibon, Kenny Scharf, Thomas Houseago, Retna, Shepard Fairey, Gus Van Sant, Piero Golia, Richard Serra, Sterling Ruby, Charming Baker, Urs Fischer, Wes Lang, Dana Louise Kirkpatrick, Bernie Taupin, Erik Brunetti, Judith Supine, Dennis Hopper, Herbie Fletcher and many more. Boutique items include donations from The Elder Statesman, Deborah Pagani, Libertine, Sonia Kashuk and ORIBE.

Silverlake Conservatory Mission Statement
The mission of Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is to facilitate basic music education. Our primary focus is on the youth of the community but all are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Conservatory offers private music lessons at a reasonable cost and grants scholarships to children in need, providing free lessons and instruments. The study of music enriches not only the life of the student but the community and society as well.

Silverlake Conservatory Scholarship Statement
One of the primary missions of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music is to provide scholarships to children whose families would otherwise be unable to afford lessons. Through a variety of sources including – personal contributions, corporate contributions, musical instrument donation, and in-house fundraising activities – the Conservatory has maintained a strong roster of talented and committed future musicians. We strive to address the decrease in arts education in schools while providing cultural enrichment to our community at large.
