DEBUT FULL-LENGTH AQUΛRIA OUT FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13
NYC AND LOS ANGELES ALBUM RELEASE SHOWS SOLD OUT
“BOOTS’ genre-melting debut album, AQUΛRIA, evokes everything from bass-heavy underground dance music to the noisy hip-hop of Run the Jewels…to David Bowie and The Beatles.” –– ROLLING STONE
“…a meticulously crafted album…[BOOTS] stands out in a pop landscape dominated by a handful of Scandinavian producers and their American mouthpieces.” –– CHICAGO READER
BOOTS has unleashed his final visual offering ahead of the hotly anticipated release of AQUΛRIA this Friday the 13th on Columbia Records. The animated music video for “C.U.R.E.” –– co-directed by BOOTS and animator extraordinaire Anthony Schepperd –– premiered Saturday night on Adult Swim. Watch the video here.
Also premiering this weekend, NPR Weekend Edition’s Rachel Martin talked with BOOTS about his early days using breakdancing as a positive outlet for frustration, the fateful first meeting with Beyoncé and the implications of death in the media on society. Listen here.
BOOTS’ first full-length album is already being praised as one of the most refreshing and innovative debuts of the year. AQUΛRIA is currently available for preorder. All preorders come with instant downloads of previously released tracks including “AQUΛRIA”, “I Run Roulette”, “Bombs Away”, “Only” and “C.U.R.E.”.
BOOTS will perform two special shows to celebrate AQUΛRIA‘s release: November 13 at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade and November 19 at Los Angeles’ Echo. While both shows are sold out, those unable to attend are encouraged to keep a weathered eye on bootsonboots.com, facebook.com/BOOTS and @bootsonboots on Twitter for further information.
