On Saturday, October 29, Austin City Limits TV will air a once in lifetime performance by the immortal Iggy Pop backed by the crack outfit led by Joshua Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age. This chance to witness one of the barely two dozen shows supporting Iggy’s wildly acclaimed Post Pop Depression (Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International) should not be missed. Accompanied by Post Pop Depressionco-creator Homme and his A-Team of his Queens Of The Stone Age cohorts Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen, Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys and journeyman bassist/guitarist/producer Matt Sweeney, Iggy rages through a once in a lifetime set  focused almost entirely on the new album and his two 1977 David Bowie-produced classics, The Idiot and Lust For Life.

The day before the ACL TV broadcast, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the UK Music Video Award-Winning Post Pop Depression: Live At The Royal Albert Hall on DVD, Blu-ray, DVD+2CD and Digital. This film captures the penultimate performance of the historic limited run of Post Pop Depression shows as Iggy, Homme and crew peeling the paint off the bones of one of the world’s most prestigious venues with an utterly electrifying performance. Reaction to the show was equally over the top from the crowd (as seen in the video) as from the UK media: The Independent hailed the show as “as downright brilliant a rock n roll show as it is possible to see, the NME called it “one of the most memorable gigs of the year… the performance of a lifetime,” and the Guardian raved “a five-star spectacle that proves just how peerless Iggy Pop is.” That unforgettable evening’s performance of Lust For Life classic “The Passenger” can be viewed at:

Post Pop Depression: Live At The Royal Albert Hall will also be available as triple vinyl concert album, out February 10, 2017 via Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International.

Post Pop Depression is equal parts a dream come true for co-creator Homme as it is a record that defiantly takes its place in Iggy’s storied discography alongside the twin towers of The Idiot and Lust For Life–two records and the mythic Berlin era of their creation canonized as much lyrically (“German Days”) as sonically (“Sunday“) on this new record. The album is a singular work that bears its creators’ undeniable sonic DNA while sounding like nothing they’ve done before. Entering the U.S. chart at #17, Post Pop Depression instantly became the highest U.S. charting album of Iggy’s storied and tumultuous career—an all-too-rare instance of commercial reception to one of Iggy’s finest works matching an enthusiastic critical response that included:

“Post Pop Depression runs the gamut from quiet introspection to brash rebellion — and stands tall as some of Pop’s most essential work in years.” – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

“There exists nobody on Earth quite like Iggy Pop, and his great new album is further proof.” — NEW YORK

“Picks up where Lust for Life left off… At once brutally effective and utterly clear: a crystalline hammer.” — THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Iggy in finer form than ever and Homme’s distinctive driving guitar melodies firmly anchoring his florid vocals. Basically: it’s shit hot stuff” — NOISEY

“The 68-year-old proto-punk icon will not be stopped… Awesomely gnarled” — ROLLING STONE

“A legendary rock n roll character like no other… one of the most vital and engaged works of his career” — TIME
