ANIMA was released June 27 by XL Recordings, accompanied by a Paul Thomas Anderson-directed “one-reeler,” also titled ANIMA, on Netflix. The New York Times noted both the album’s “subtle, complex, changeable layerings and richly shadowy sounds” and praised the film as “elusive, dreamlike and worthy of its leading man: a singer who knows how to move.” ANIMA was written by Thom Yorke, produced by Nigel Godrich and features the London Contemporary Orchestra on all nine tracks.

Described by Rolling Stone as “peak Yorke, and scary good,” “Suspirium” was the first track to be revealed from Thom Yorke’s Suspiria (Music for the Luca Guadagnino Film), released October 26, 2018 on XL Recordings. The song was written and arranged by Thom Yorke, recorded and produced by Thom and Sam Petts-Davies, and featured the London Contemporary Orchestra and Choir, and Pasha Mansurov on solo flute.
