Recognized by Guinness World Records as “the most successful songwriter of all time,” Paul’s 7” Singles Box is a remarkable testament to this accolade, featuring songs that have sound-tracked our lives and that are loved and sung around the world today.

The format of the 7” single had a profound impact and influence on Paul both as a songwriter and as a music fan. Paul recalls in his foreword that comes with this set how he still enjoys the thrill of flicking through crates in record shops looking for new discoveries and how much respect he and The Beatles had for the B-side.

Available from December 2nd, The 7” Singles Box is the ultimate package for any McCartney fan. From 1971’s “Another Day” to a 7” version of 2022’s Record Store Day Song of the Year, “Women and Wives” (taken from 2020’s chart-topping McCartney III) – the 80 singles included represent half a century of Paul’s life showcasing his prolific creativity and relentless innovation. An absolute treasure trove of music, the box set features recreations of 65 singles – complete with their original B-sides (using restored artwork from 11 different countries) as well as 15 singles never before released on 7”. These 15 singles are made up from tracks previously released on 12”, picture discs, CD singles & promos, digital downloads, music videos, two previously unheard demos, and a previously unheard 7” single edit.

The box set is beautifully presented in a special wooden art crate, designed and built in Derbyshire, UK, and is packed with incredible content, including a 148-page book that features a personal foreword by Paul, an essay by music journalist Rob Sheffield and extensive chart information, liner notes, and single artwork. “… he’s back to flat-out, buzz-bombing, hard-riffing rock… Proudly foul-mouthed and convincingly irate, Pop lashes out in all directions, fully aware of his standing”—THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Iggy Pop works himself into a ‘Frenzy’ and reignites some of his proto-punk fire… marks a left turn back toward the Godfather of Punk’s roots” —ROLLING STONE

“… a blistering, unabashed three minutes of skittering rock and roll… it’s always a joy to hear Pop back in peak form.”—FLOOD

In the wake of the ecstatic reaction to its appropriately titled opening track and first single “Frenzy,” it can now be revealed that Iggy Pop will unleash his new album, EVERY LOSER, on the public come January 6, 2023 – Pre-Order and Pre-Save HERE.

EVERY LOSER is Iggy’s 19th solo album and his first to be released via the recently announced partnership between Atlantic Records and Gold Tooth Records, the new label founded by the album’s GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum executive producer, Andrew Watt.

I’m the guy with no shirt who rocks; Andrew and Gold Tooth get that, and we made a record together the old-fashioned way,” Iggy said in a recent statement. “The players are guys I’ve known since they were kids and the music will beat the shit out of you.

As indicated by the pinned db meters of “Frenzy,” EVERY LOSER harkens back to Iggy’s primordial roots while maintaining an undeniably modern lyrical point viewpoint and sonic palette. EVERY LOSER is an exemplary album of primal rock ’n’ roll—a master class in the art of lashing out with unequalled intensity and unflappable wit. The result is 11 songs by the man who refused to go gently into that good night on his previous album, 2019’s somber and contemplative Free, and is once again charging fearlessly at life itself on EVERY LOSER

Iggy Pop is a fucking icon. A true original. The guy invented the stage dive..I still can’t believe he let me make a record with him. I am honored. It doesn’t get cooler. This album was created to be played as loud as your stereo will go…turn it up and hold on…” says Andrew Watt

The cover of EVERY LOSER is an original piece of art created by world renowned contemporary fine artist Raymond Pettibon. Pettibon burst onto the scene in the late 70s and designed iconic album covers for artists such as Sonic Youth and Black Flag. His signature motifs are pulled from literature, art history, philosophy, religion, politics, sports, and alternative youth culture. Pettibon’s work has been exhibited widely throughout the United States and around the world, including a 2017 survey at the New Museum in New York, and inclusion in the 2007 and 1999 Venice Biennials.

The new album will also be available as limited-edition vinyl, cassettes and CDs – Available HERE. As part of the release of EVERY LOSER, Iggy is offering an exclusive relaunch of legendary fanzine, PUNK Magazine, from founder and legendary editor John Holmstrom with a full Iggy issue, which contains an exclusive interview with Iggy by Flea. Iggy originally graced the cover of the John Holmstrom Fanzine in July 1976.

Widely acknowledged as one of the most influential artists and dynamic live performers of all time, Iggy Pop is a singer, songwriter, musician, author, record producer, DJ, and actor whose epic body of work has earned him both worldwide critical acclaim and fanatic cult success. Beginning in 1967 with his era-defining group The Stooges, Pop merged primal rock, blues, and free jazz into something altogether dangerous and new, paving the way for punk, post-punk, hard rock, and grunge. His landmark solo career – which kicked off with 1977’s David Bowie-produced The Idiot and Lust For Life – has seen Pop traverse a stunning span of musical genres, inspiring generation after generation of rock ‘n rollers with his iconoclastic songcraft, uncompromising performance style, and one-of-a-kind charisma. Perhaps the greatest living embodiment of rock & roll, Pop has never slowed down, pushing the art form forward for more than half a century, including his most recent full length recording, 2019’s contemplative, critically acclaimed Free

Andrew Watt’s diverse array of credits includes work with Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Ozzy Osbourne and more. In 2021 he was honored with the GRAMMY® Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and recently produced Ozzy Osbourne’s #1 Billboard Chart-topping album Patient Number 9, as well as the single “Hold Me Closer,” the highly anticipated hit collaboration by Britney Spears and Elton John. At the top of 2022, Watt produced the entirety of Eddie Vedder’s critically acclaimed solo release Earthling, and in February, he landed two genre-bending hits on the Hot 100 in The Kid LAROI’s “Thousand Miles” and Ed Sheeran and Lil Baby’s “2step.” Beyond his producing and songwriting, Watt had the honor of joining Eddie Vedder on tour as part of his all-star side project, The Earthlings.

IGGY POP: “FRENZY” NEW SINGLE OUT NOW

IGGY POP
“FRENZY”
NEW SINGLE
OUT NOW
ON ATLANTIC RECORDS / GOLD TOOTH RECORDS

“Being stalked by a socio is a great way to fire up the blood.” —Iggy Pop on “Frenzy”

Iggy Pop explodes back onto the scene with the aptly titled “Frenzy.” The brand new single is out today via the recently announced partnership between Atlantic Records and Gold Tooth Records, the new label founded by GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum “Frenzy“ producer and guitarist, Andrew Watt.

Three solid minutes of unadulterated primal rock fury, “Frenzy” signals a return to the raw powered aggro of earlier Iggy vintages—a sharp 180 degree turn from Iggy’s most recent album, 2019’s Free. Where Free’s somber and contemplative meditations on mortality and the human condition saw a vulnerable Iggy taking a deep look inward, “Frenzy” lashes out with the unmistakable and unequaled intensity that earned Iggy the Godfather of Punk sobriquet—fueled by a band consisting of producer Watt (guitar/background vocals), Duff McKagan (bass) and Chad Smith (drums).

Not only flexes Danger Mouse’s creativity as a producer, but the always impressive bars of Black Thought, a rapper who has remained consistently excellent
– HIPHOPDX

The math is not particularly difficult: Take two great artists, put them together, magic. Here, you have the prolific musician Danger Mouse… and the incomparable Black Thought… delivering a late-summer gem of an album.
– The New York Times

Cheat Codes captures the glory of rap’s classic era and brings it to the present through thick mesmerizing samples and the rapper’s incredible vernacular.
– Beats Per Minute

Less a rebuke to an era of trap beats and SoundCloud-ready verses than a showcase for their shared, effortless virtuosity, Black Thought (née: Tariq Trotter) delivers razor-sharp, incisive lyrics over dusty samples Danger Mouse (a.k.a. Brian Burton) lends his timeless, cinematic flourish for a tightly-packed, adventuresome, eminently listenable experience.
– The AV Club

Cheat Codes isn’t just excellentDanger Mouse constructed these beats with Black Thought and his skill set specifically in mind, and the rapper moves through them deliberately, without compromising what are some of his most writerly verses.
– NPR’s All Things Considered

Danger Mouse is a pioneering beat-maker with a knack for blending rock and hip-hop aesthetics. Black Thought is one of the greatest rappers ever.
– New York Magazine

Danger Mouse & Black Thought have released the official video for “Belize,” from their universally acclaimed album, Cheat Codes. The video, filmed by Danger Mouse and directed by UNCANNY, serves as a solemn ode to their friend, the late MF DOOM, who features on the song.

The enigmatic MF DOOM, known for his loose, somewhat conversational rap style, whose rhyme and meter remain unparalleled, unites seamlessly with Black Thought’s unmatched precision sharp lyricism. A testament to what makes Danger Mouse one of the greatest producers of all time: his utterly unique ability to craft a palette complex and flexible enough to enable Black Thought to perform at new heights, yet perfectly suited to MF DOOM’s eclectic flow.

“Belize” moved Consequence to rave “Danger Mouse’s production on “Belize” is steeped in soul, with warm brass and a hypnotic bassline making way for each MC to spit a dizzying array of bars”—just one in a steady stream of accolades for Cheat Codes

The debut album from Danger Mouse & Black Thought (named one of year’s the most anticipated albums by New York Magazine, Pitchfork, Brookyn Vegan, Stereogum,  AV Club, HotNewHipHop, Paste and many more), is a sprawling opus featuring a peerless roster of guest luminaries including A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, Michael Kiwanuka, Raekwon, Joey Bada$$, Russ, Conway the Machine, the late MF DOOM, among others.

Hailed by the NME as “brilliant” and as “an out-and-out hip-hop masterpiece” by the ObserverCheat Codes’ unique brilliance comes not from bombast backed by big names, but rather from the restraint exercised throughout. Black Thought is indisputably one of the greatest rappers that has ever lived, and Danger Mouse’s production, free flowing beats and melodies, coaxed his skill to the forefront on this landmark album. Cheat Codes is a singular work, evoking the golden age of hiphop via an undeniably modern sensibility, while remaining untethered to any era or trend  — classic, yet timeless.

BROKEN BELLS: NEW ALBUM, INTO THE BLUE, OUT NOW

BROKEN BELLS

FIRST FULL LENGTH ALBUM IN EIGHT YEARS:
INTO THE BLUE

OUT NOW

“ONE NIGHT” SINGLE & VIDEO
WATCH HERE

“Spanning ’60s psychedelia, ’70s disco, ’80s synth-pop, and ’90s trip-hop, and all of it tinged with a slight dream-world surreality, Into The Blue is an atmospheric, immaculately arranged and produced collection of songs that present pop music’s past as its present—and quite possibly its future.”
-AV Club’s Fall Preview: “20 Albums you need to know about”

“…their moodiest trip yet, with the duo sending classic soul balladry (‘Love on the Run’) and sumptuously spooky art pop (‘We’re Not in Orbit Yet’) through a surreal prism. The album has its kitschier moments (the glam-rock-tinged ‘Saturdays’) but the overall mood suggests an alternate-dimension ‘AM Gold’ compilation: soothing and unsettling by turns.”
– New York Times Fall Preview

“…another atmospheric album to get lost in.”
– USA Today Fall Preview – 12 New Albums You Must Hear This Fall

Brian Burton (AKA Danger Mouse) and James Mercer (The Shins), collectively known as Broken Bells, have finally released one of the year’s most anticipated albums: INTO THE BLUE via AWAL. The band’s third full length album — and first since 2014’s After The Disco — is available now.

Also available today is Broken Bells’ latest single, “One Night,” and its accompanying video. Written and performed entirely by James Mercer and Danger Mouse, “One Night” juxtaposes somber lyrics lamenting a past relationship with what might well be Bells’ most instantly infectious earworm to date.

The “One Night” video, the fourth in a series directed by Johnny Chew, sees Earth deemed “without form and void.” Our characters have found a new planet to inhabit, where “wedding bells still ring.” But of course, this is Broken Bells, and to them:  it will all fade, if wrong or right… such is life, this you suffer through.

The many influences the two Broken Bells principals have in common make INTO THE BLUE a kaleidoscopic genre and decade spanning ode to those forebears  — From The Beatles to Pink Floyd, from ‘60s psychedelia to 70s rock and AM Gold, from ‘80s New Wave to ‘90s Trip Hop… and the pair’s mutual adoration of the Elephant 6 collective. The first Broken Bells album to feature samples in addition to James and Brian’s own organic sounds, INTO THE BLUE finds Broken Bells in uncharted territory. James and Brian venture into bold new directions while retaining their signature glistening pop perfection with just a hint of the sinister.

INTO THE BLUE  is available now in digital and physical configurations including a deluxe limited edition LP.

The track listing for the album is as follows:

Into The Blue
We’re Not In Orbit Yet…
Invisible Exit

‘Memento Mori’ World Tour to Kick Off March 23, 2023 In Sacramento, CA

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees Depeche Mode announced today at a special event in Berlin that they will be releasing a new album and embarking on a world tour in 2023. The Memento Mori Tour will support the band’s forthcoming 15th studio album, Memento Mori, due out in Spring 2023.

In a break from tradition, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed today that the Live Nation-presented tour will begin with a special, limited series of North American arena dates starting March 23rd, before the band heads to Europe for their summer stadium tour. These limited North American dates will feature stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, among others. The band will then begin their European stadium tour on May 16th, with noted stops including the Stade de France in Paris, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Milan’s San Siro Stadium, and London’s Twickenham Stadium. For further information on the tour routing and ticket on-sale dates, please go to depechemode.com. The full listing of dates, cities and venues is also below.

In speaking about Memento Mori, Martin Gore commented, “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.” Dave Gahan added, “Fletch would have loved this album. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you soon, and we can’t wait to present it to you live at the shows next year.”

The Memento Mori Tour will be Depeche Mode’s 19th tour and their first in over five years. The band’s most recent outing, the 2017-2018 Global Spirit Tour was its longest to date and was one of the year’s highest grossing tours, with the band playing to more than 3 million fans over the course of 130 shows across Europe and North America.

Memento Mori will be Depeche Mode’s 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed Spirit, which reached #1 in 11 territories, charting in the Top 5 in more than 20 others. Memento Mori will be released worldwide in Spring 2023 via Columbia Records.

Having sold more than 100 million records and played to more than 35 million fans worldwide, Depeche Mode remains an ever-evolving and singularly influential musical force. An indelible inspiration to fans, critics and artists alike, Depeche Mode continues to forge ahead, with the Memento Mori album and tour representing the opening of the newest chapter of a peerless and ongoing legacy.
