A proper festival headliner whose played for hundreds of thousands and appeared on national TV ( in the UK and Europe, the three-string-slinger is now primed for widespread appreciation in his native U.S. with You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks, his first full length album for Third Man Records.

The 12-track album will be available digitally from May 31, with a vinyl LP release following June 7. Orders for a $20 bundle package of You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks and  Blue Series single TMR-098–on which Seasick Steve first teamed up with Jack White to cover two Mississippi Fred McDowell classics–“Write Me a Few Lines” and “Levee Camp Blues”–are now being taken at

You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks was recorded in the fall of 2010, produced by the Dog hisself (a/k/a Seasick Steve) and Henry James Wold, and mixed by Vance Powell at Air Studios in London.

Pre-Sales To Begin May 18 For September Arena Shows

Foo Fighters have confirmed the next run of shows in their ongoing American arena headline run in support of the worldwide #1 album Wasting Light (Roswell/RCA). Pre-sales for this leg, which kicks off September 14 in St. Paul MN and runs through September 26 in East Rutherford NJ, will begin May 18. General on sales follow May 20 with the exception of St. Paul and Columbus which go on sale to the public June 4.

Rise Against and Mariachi el Bronx will be support for the U.S. run.

The September dates expand on the recently announced midwest headline dates beginning May 17 in Tulsa OK and concluding May 26 in Missoula MT. Motorhead and Biffy Clyro provide support on that run, during which the Foos will also drop in for headlining appearances at the Hangout and Sasquatch festivals. In addition Foo Fighters have also announced a pair of Canadian dates, August 9 in Toronto and August 10 in Montreal, which go on sale May 20 and 21 respectively. Doughboys and F—ed Up will support on both Canadian shows.

The tour follows in the wake of Foo Fighters’ just-released seventh album Wasting Light, which is still riding high on the charts after debuting at #1 in a dozen countries.  Wasting Light has also generated arguably the best critical notices of the band’s 16-year career, including four star lead reviews from Rolling Stone and People, and an A-lead review from Entertainment Weekly that summed up “Here’s the miracle, though: Foo Fighters never feel like a backward-looking band. Light is a muscular rock & roll throwdown, featuring the Foos delivering exactly the kind of catchy, pummeling anthems they’re known for, with total disregard for the whims of the masses.”

More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. For a complete list of current Foo Fighters North American tour dates and ticketing info visit

3 Dreams Of Black, a groundbreaking interactive experience written and directed by Chris Milk for the song “Black” from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s forthcoming Rome album, can be experienced now at:

Developed in conjunction with Radical Media, EMI and Google, 3 Dreams Of Black created three dream worlds set to the score of Danger Mouse and Luppi’s “Black” with its sublime Norah Jones vocal.  The worlds are experienced as 2D drawings and animations, interspersed with interactive 3D sequences in which the viewer becomes an active participant, guiding their own journey through the unfolding narrative.  Participants can even create their own virtual artifacts–the best of which will then be integrated into the experience and become a part of other users’ dreams.

The unique, immersive online experience of 3 Dreams Of Black is powered by the evolution in HTML5 and WebGL internet and web browser technologies.  However, like the music that inspired its creation, the best way to understand 3 Dreams of Black is simply to experience it.

ROME, five years in the making and finally out May 17, is the result of Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi joining forces to co-compose and co-arrange a record in the vein of classic Italian Western soundtracks like Ennio Morricone’s Fistful of Dollars or The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.  Danger Mouse and Luppi went to such lengths to preserve this aesthetic as traveling to Rome to use Morricone’s studio and musicians who actually played on these soundtracks. Vintage instruments were tracked down and bartered for, and every note was recorded in analog with no studio trickery or synthetic instrumentation. With the score completed, Norah Jones and Jack White were enlisted for vocals on three tracks each.
