PAUL McCARTNEY SETS ALL-TIME ATTENDANCE RECORD AT FENWAY

Highest Ever Two-Day Concert Attendance In Fenway History

Upcoming Atlanta, Tulsa and Dallas Dates To Wrap Up McCartney’s Summer Live 2009 Jaunt

(Boston MA — August 10, 2009) Paul McCartney’s August 5 & 6 stand at Boston’s Fenway Park has set the record for highest ever two-day attendance for a concert in the history of the storied ballpark.

Commenting on the extensive set list, which featured classics spanning decades of Beatles, Wings and solo material–including the recent Electric Arguments album released under the Fireman alias–Live Nation Boston’s Dave Marsden commented, “No one in history has ever had 33 hits in one night at Fenway Park.”

Reviews of McCartney’s recent Live 2009 performances at New York’s Citi Field and Washington DC’s Fed Ex Field have been unanimously rapturous. Response to the Fenway double header has continued this trend, with the Boston Globe, for example, raving “McCartney kicked off the first of his two concerts at Fenway Park with a nearly flawless performance that played heavily to audience favorites while allowing him to stretch out as an artist who is obviously still vital and relevant.”

Only three more dates remain in the Paul McCartney Live 2009 itinerary: The August 15 Green Concert at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, an instantly sold out August 17 one night stand at Tulsa OK’s BOK Arena, and a grand finale’ August 19 at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas TX.

Having made production modifications to accommodate demand, Live Nation and AEG Live in cooperation with Marshall Arts announced last week that they’d be able able to release additional seats at all price levels for the August 19 tour closer. Additionally, the promoters made special arrangements with the Dallas Cowboys to sell general admission “Party Pass” tickets for the Stadium’s West Platform priced at $45 each.

The August 19 show marks not only the conclusion of McCartney’s summer 2009 trek through the U.S., but is is first appearance in Dallas since in 2005 as well as the only Texas performance of the current dates.

The additional tickets were released for sale Friday, August 7th at 10am, and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com
