Reddit.com ASK ME ANYTHING WITH BOB CONFIRMED FOR MON. DEC. 17  at 1:00 p.m. EST

“Silver Age, is evidence of the man’s continuing greatness… a delightfully catchy and accomplished power pop record that manages to wed the tuneful bombast of late Sugar with the upbeat introspection of Workbook… the beginning of another run of Bob Mould classics.”–STEREOGUM

“’The Descent,’ which was quintessential Mould, juxtaposing deep self-loathing with searing, soaring pop hooks. He could always make his misery sound glorious… and his wry tale of emotional collapse turned into one of the most incessant and rich rock singles of the year”–POPMATTERS Best of 2012

As he winds down a banner year featuring some of the most enthusiastic critical notices of his career for the incredible Silver Age (Merge),  a debut appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, a Conan performance, and a first ever Austin City Limits TV taping, Bob Mould has confirmed that his widely sold out tour will add four more North American stops and an Australian run in early 2013. The new dates are as follows:

February 26 – New York, NY – Bowery Ballroom
February  27 – New York, NY – Bowery Ballroom

March 2 – Detroit, MI – Magic Stick

March 8 – Brisbane – The Zoo

March 10 – Sydney – Factory Theatre

Bob will once again be backed on the new dates by drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, The Mountain Goats) and bassist Jason Narducy (Spl:t S:ngle, Verbow), both of whom appeared on the Silver Age album.

Fans can ask Bob about future dates, Silver Age, the  See A Little Light film/Kickstarter campaign and pretty much anything else in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit.com Monday the 17th at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Speaking of  See A Little Light, the Kickstarter campaign started with the goal of bringing the now legendary See A Little Light: A Celebration of the Music and Legacy of Bob Mould all-star tribute concert to an audience beyond the lucky 2300 attendees who made it into Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall on November 21, 2011 continues apace at http://kck.st/RPPY19. Currently at 80%, the campaign has been financing the film–from editing and production to bandwidth, packaging, shipping and more–while offering Bob Mould fans exclusive collectibles including a limited edition 7-inch single, a commemorative T-Shirt, a set of prints, and more (our top level package of fender guitars is sold out). Once completed, the film by Justin Mitchell will document in high quality audio and video once in a lifetime interpretations of Bob’s decades-spanning catalogue of  Hüsker Dü, Sugar, and solo classics by the likes of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Britt Daniel (Spoon), Ryan Adams, No Age, Craig Finn and Tad Kubler (The Hold Steady), Margaret Cho with Grant Lee Phillips, and Jessica Dobson (The Shins, Deep Sea Diver)–as well as the rehearsals, preparations, interactions and lead-up to this unforgettable night.
