As the June 10th release of their fifth studio album Why Are You OK (Interscope Records/American Recordings) closes in, Band of Horses has added more than two dozen dates to the North American leg of its grueling world tour. The new dates begin August 9 in Aspen, CO and include a September 22 headline appearance at New York’s Central Park Summerstage, a set at Voodoo Fest in New Orleans, and literally dozens more before the last date on the itinerary as of press time, November 16 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Stay tuned as there are still many more dates to be announced.

In the days leading up to the June 8 kick-off of the five-month trek, Band of Horses has been revisiting its roots via acoustic in-store concerts at independent record stores across the country. In addition to intimate previews of new BOH material, each and every attendee receives a limited edition poster featuring the couple on the cover of Why Are You OK superimposed into the local surroundings of each store. Tonight, the band hits New Jersey’s Vintage Vinyl, and will ring in the new album’s release date at Grimey’s in Nashville.

Band of Horses also found time to tug some heartstrings on the small screen last night, gracing The Late Late Show with James Corden with a moving rendition of Ben Bridwell’s ode to his daughters, “Whatever, Wherever”. The band also played “Solemn Oath” as a web exclusive for the show.

As if all of the above isn’t enough, this Thursday, fans should tune in to Ben Bridwell’s custom pop-up radio show on Beats 1 Radio this Thursday at 7pm PST. Hosted by Ben Bridwell, the special 1-hour show will feature the premiere of new songs from Why Are You OK, songs that inspired the record, and candid conversations with collaborators, friends and influencers.
