Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ sixteenth studio album, Skeleton Tree, will be released globally on vinyl, CD and across all digital platforms on 9th September 2016. This follows the Bad Seeds’ most critically and commercially successful release of recent times, Push the Sky Away (2013).

Skeleton Tree began its journey in late 2014 at Retreat Studios, Brighton, with further sessions at La Frette Studios, France in autumn 2015. The album was mixed at AIR Studios, London in early 2016.

The first opportunity anyone will have to hear any of the songs from the album will be to watch One More Time With Feeling, directed by Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Killing Them Softly). The film will screen in more than 650 cinemas across the world on September 8, 2016, immediately prior to the release of Skeleton Tree the following day.

Originally a performance based concept, One More Time With Feeling evolved into something much more significant as Dominik delved into the tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album. Interwoven throughout the Bad Seeds’ filmed performance of the new album are interviews and footage shot by Dominik, accompanied by Cave’s intermittent narration and improvised rumination.

Filmed in black-and-white and color, in both 3D and 2D, the result is stark, fragile and raw, and a true testament to an artist trying to find his way through the darkness.

PALO ALTO, CA – May 24, 2016 –  Jaunt, the leading producer and publisher of fully-immersive cinematic virtual reality experiences, and legendary singer-songwriter Paul McCartney, today released the first two episodes of PURE McCartney VR, a six-part series of virtual reality (VR) documentary shorts. As part of the upcoming launch of PURE McCartney, a career-spanning compilation album, each of these immersive VR experiences delve into the stories behind some of Paul’s most iconic songs.

Fans will embark on a personal journey with Paul as he recounts memories and anecdotes related to various tracks, while sharing archived and never-before-seen footage. Filmed in his private home studio, the PURE McCartney VR episodes, which chronicle “Dance Tonight”, “Coming Up”, “My Valentine”, “Mull of Kintyre” and “Early Days”, will be released episodically, starting today, and continuing through the PURE McCartney album release on June 10, 2016.

In building the series, the team sought out the creative expertise of some of the most innovative minds in the business, including award-winning Director, Tony Kaye; Producer and Soundscape Architect Geoff Emerick; and Executive Producers Cliff Plumer, Lucas Wilson and Doug Allenstein. The resulting VR experiences include not only high quality cinematic VR, but digitally remastered and spatially oriented ambisonic audio mixed in Dolby Atmos. Band Of Horses blew the minds as well as the ears of a dazzled audience at Wednesday’s taping of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as they were accompanied for a rollicking debut performance of “Casual Party” by a motley complement of difficult to describe monstrosities.

No, Band Of Horses are not going all Muppets on acid on us, they’d merely invited a few of the unnerving but somehow a little cuddly creatures from the video to their instantly infectious “Casual Party” which dropped today. You can watch the Ben Fee-directed cut right HERE.

“The band’s performance of lead single “Casual Party” was accompanied by a unique posse of hype men (/women/things?) that ranged from a human gold pom-pom to a crouching pink alien to what looks like Speed Racer with a major tooth issue. And none of the accompanying weirdos seemed too psyched to be onstage. Casual Party, indeed. We do get a little head bob from Pom Pom Swamp Thing near the end. Oh, the power of indie rock.”–RELIX MAGAZINE

Produced by Jason Lytle, and Executive Produced by Rick Rubin, Why Are You OK will hit stores on June 10 via Interscope Records/American Recordings. The band breathed life into the recordings from the album this week, CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND noted that “They still very much know how to make a small room feel like a cavernous arena.” While STEREOGUM found their performance “Heartfelt and expansive…ringing, uplifting, country-fried indie rock.”

U2 – iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE – Live In Paris will be released worldwide on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on Friday 10th June on Interscope/Island.

The concert film captures the Irish band’s groundbreaking tour as it returned to the French capital for two very special shows in December last year—one of which was The New York Times’ Jon Pareles’ #1 concert of 2015—despite the fact that he was not in attendance, marking quite possibly the first time a TV broadcast topped the Times’ live shows of the year list.

In addition to uplifting guest spots from Eagles of Death Metal and Patti Smith, U2 – iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE – Live In Paris puts viewers inside the AccorHotels Arena with Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr.: the deluxe versions of the release also include a behind-the-scenes interview with live broadcast director Hamish Hamilton; exclusive tour visuals narrated by the band’s lifelong friend Gavin Friday; music videos; additional live tracks filmed during the tour; and much more.

“Directing iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE was scary,” says live broadcast director Hamish Hamilton who previously worked with U2 on their 2001 Elevation Tour. “A technical nightmare married with a creative rollercoaster. It challenged everything I knew on so many levels…what blew my mind were the multiple narrative arcs combined with the number of emotional arcs you are taken through as you journey through the show. There’s a lot of good shows out there – but very few great shows.”

U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour kicked off in Vancouver in May 2015 and, to date, has played to over 1.2 million fans in 22 cities across Europe and North America. Staged in the round, the tour features multiple performance areas plus a state of the art 100 foot LED screen suspended above a 118 foot walkway running the length of the arena floor. PJ Harvey is to perform in the U.S. for the first time in 5 years, accompanied by her nine-piece band. She will play in New York and Los Angeles, her only 2016 U.S. concerts in support of her ninth album, The Hope Six Demolition Project.

Recorded in public view at London’s Somerset House The Hope Six Demolition Project was released on April 15 and topped the Official UK Album Chart.

The U.S. dates are confirmed as August 16 at Terminal 5, New York City and August 18 at Shrine Expo Hall, Los Angeles. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 10am ET in New York and 10am PT in Los Angeles on Friday, May 13.

PJ Harvey and her band will arrive in the US following appearances through the summer at landmark European festivals such as Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Roskilde, and Rock Werchter. She will be accompanied on-stage by: Alain Johannes, Alessandro Stefana, Enrico Gabrielli, James Johnston, Jean-Marc Butty, John Parish, Kenrick Rowe, Mick Harvey, and Terry Edwards. The show’s additional creative team includes Ian Rickson (Director), Jeremy Herbert (Set Designer), Adam Silverman (Lighting Designer), and Ann Demeulemeester (Costume Designer).

The Hope Six Demolition Project draws from Harvey’s observations made during journeys to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C. over a four-year period.

PJ Harvey has released nine critically acclaimed albums, been nominated for six Grammy Awards, and is the only artist to have been awarded the UK’s prestigious Mercury Music Prize twice (for her albums Stories from the City, Stories From The Sea and Let England Shake). In 2015 she published her debut collection of poetry in collaboration with photographer Seamus Murphy entitled The Hollow of the Hand.

Due to incredible demand for tickets to his October 4 opening show at the Golden 1 Center, Paul McCartney has added a second performance on Wednesday, October 5. The October 5 show will be Paul’s only additional appearance in the area on his new One on One tour.

“What an amazing response to an historic event for Sacramento,” said Kings President Chris Granger. “We’re honored to have Paul play back-to-back shows and launch Golden 1 Center in true rock and roll fashion.”

At this time, all pre-sales for the first show on Tuesday, October 4 have been exhausted. General public tickets for show one will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6. Show two will also go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6. Early access pre-sales will begin at 1:15 p.m. this afternoon and close this evening.

Due to overwhelming demand, Paul McCartney has confirmed he will add a second and final show to his Washington D.C. engagement at Verizon Center on Wednesday, August 10th.

As with the launch of every new Paul McCartney tour, One On One promises to unveil a dazzling re-designed set, dozens of classics from the most beloved catalog in popular music, spanning Paul’s entire career—as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle—and no shortage of surprises.

One On One is the first new Paul McCartney tour since the juggernaut that was Out There came to its stunning conclusion on October 22, 2015 with Paul’s first ever concert in Buffalo, NY. Out There’s finale capped off an incredible 2015, in which the tour played 27 shows in 22 cities throughout the world, with
highlights including Paul’s historic debut in South Korea—where the crowd at Seoul Olympic Stadium’s refusal to stop singing the refrain to “Hey Jude” literally forced Paul to reprise the song in the first encore, playing that signature bassline live for the first time—three nights at the Tokyo Dome and one at Budokan, a sold out stand at Paris’ majestic Stade de France, more than a dozen packed arena shows across the U.S., UK and Europe, and triumphant headlines at festivals such as Firefly, Roskilde, and Lollapalooza in Chicago—the latter a tour de force performance for a 100,000-strong crowd featuring a guest appearance from Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard on “Get Back.”
