NEW SHOWS ADDED IN DETROIT, DENVER, MELBOURNE, SYDNEY & MORE
Jack White’s Blunderbuss was released today by Third Man Records/Columbia, immediately receiving a particularly warm reception from the New York media–including “one of those most highly anticipated albums of the year… also one of the best” from THE NEW YORKER, Album of the Week from THE NEW YORK POST, 4 stars from THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, among many others.
And now, Jack White will be giving back to the city that’s so warmly embraced his debut album, as his Third Man Records Rolling Record Store hits the Big Apple on Thursday the 26th to bestow upon the citizenry free tickets to Jack White’s American Express Unstaged concert at Webster Hall on Friday April 27th.
An educational vinyl adventure center on wheels, Third Man Records’ Rolling Record Store will be wheeling into locations all over the New York City area, then tweeting (@ThirdManRRS) each location along with instructions on how to claim a pair of free tickets to the show. There are only five pairs of tickets, one pair to be given away at each of five locations.
Jack’s American Express Unstaged event, to be directed by Gary Oldman, will be previewed by one new video each day leading up to the actual performance on Friday. The first of these can be seen at youtube.com/jackwhitevevo
On the touring front, Jack has confirmed an all ages matinee show at the Scottish Rite Theater in Detroit on May 24th, a headline appearance at one day of the Roskilde Festival taking place July 5th-8th in Denmark, shows in Australia at Festival Hall in Melbourne on July 25th, Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on July 26th and headlining the Splendour In The Grass Festival at Belongil Fields in Byron Bay, a headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on August 8th, and a performance at the Outside Lands Festival taking place August 10th-12th in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
