“Baby I Love You” V-Day Single Out Digitally Today via Blue Note/Pax-Am

June 14 at Red Rocks On Sale Now

Ryan Adams has a double shot of V-Day love for the world this year:

First, a special Valentines Day single—“Baby I Love You”—a brand new and unavailable elsewhere track brought to you on the wings of Cupid (and by Blue Note/Pax-Am). “Baby I Love You” is exactly what it sounds like: A song to one’s baby, whom they love—a unique twist on Ryan Adams’ classic recipe, with key ingredient “sad” replaced by “happy.” Listen here and check out the love-ly visual interpretation of the song by director Brook Linder here.

And second, hearts aren’t the only red things in the bouquet Ryan’s getting you this year: Tickets are on sale now for a just-announced June 14 headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Yes, Ryan’s first confirmed show of 2018 will be his return to the site of the 2017 show that generated local raves including “Ryan Adams Fans Fulfill Their Wildest Dreams at Red Rocks” (WESTWORD) and “Watching him onstage amidst the thousands of people who came out to see him was a surprisingly intimate affair… Adams sincerely put the audience first playing a slew of fan favorites all night, to everyone’s delight” (303 MAGAZINE).

For tickets and updates on Ryan’s further post-Valentine’s plans as they develop, as always:

Release Theme Song To Commemorate Inaugural Krewe du Kanaval

“Ann Ale! (Let’s Go!)” Available Now at

Proceeds To Be Donated to the Preservation Hall Foundation & KANPE

In anticipation of the inaugural Krewe du Kanaval taking place Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in New Orleans, the Preservation Hall Horns, RAM and Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire have collaborated on “Ann Ale! (Let’s Go!),” a Krewe du Kanaval theme, released today at

“Ann Ale! (Let’s Go!),” recorded in New Orleans last week, is an embodiment of the spirit of Krewe du Kanaval: a new Mardi Gras Krewe, mobile music event and celebration of Haiti and the diaspora of cultures that have enriched New Orleans’ identity and arts for hundreds of years.

The music of “Ann Ale! (Let’s Go!)” was written by Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, with lyrics by Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, and Richard Morse. The song was produced by Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, and Eric Heigle, and mixed by Craig Silvey with Win Butler and Eric Heigle.

The inaugural Krewe du Kanaval will run from 12 noon through to the late evening, consisting of a parade/procession through the French Quarter and Treme, a free afternoon festival in Armstrong Park and a ticketed Kanaval Ball at the iconic club One Eyed Jacks. Much like the theme song, the Krewe itself is a joint effort between Preservation Hall, Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire and Haitian friends. It aims to be a welcome and necessary annual addition to New Orleans’ Mardi Gras traditions and will raise funds to benefit the Preservation Hall Foundation and KANPE – two not-for-profit organizations which serve important unmet social and cultural needs in New Orleans and Haiti.

Confirmed talent includes members of Arcade Fire including singers Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, the world famous Preservation Hall Jazz Band, DJ Nickodemus, DJ Cosmo Gonik, Paul Beaubrun and special guests from Haiti including RAM.

Released September 1, 2017 on Columbia Records/DFA, AMERICAN DREAM entered the U.S. chart at #1 and has been nominated for two GRAMMY Awards–Best Alternative Album and Best Dance Recording (for the song “tonite”)—and has generated a tide of year-end best of lists and accolades, including:

“James Murphy gathers his old gang of New York punk-funk virtuosos together for some truly festive paranoia… the music crackles with the joy of communal celebration”—ROLLING STONE #5 50 Best Albums of 2017

“Both tongue-in-cheek and confessional, finding new space for sincere reflection… American Dream proves some acts are better together.”—TIME Top 10 Albums of 2017

“As fresh and vital as they’d ever been—not just older but wiser too, with a new strain of wit and tenderness thrumming beneath their strobelit dreams.”—ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY #6 Best Albums of 2017

“Songs this good would’ve been enough to justify LCD’s controversial resurrection. Yet Murphy imbues the new music with a weight that makes the convincing argument that he has a lot more to say, and that it won’t be in the tone we might’ve expected.”—STEREOGUM #9 50 Best Albums of 2017

“Still the most aware, and self-aware, artist in alt-rock… a perfect offering to the spirit of the Thin White Duke and evidence of Murphy’s continued artistic vitality as a no-longer-young American.”—BILLBOARD 50 Best Albums of 2017

“No one does disco neurosis like Murphy… Murphy’s most intensely personal songs to date… burn with unusually candid intensity… a welcome return”—AV CLUB Best Albums of 2017

“The guy’s mission is to make neurosis danceable, and Dream is mission achieved… funky, expansive and imbued with a strange sadness, frequently within the confines of the same six-minute track.”—NEWSWEEK #7 17 Best Albums of 2017

“American Dream is a beautiful work of art about aging, regret and an arduous search for meaning, an expansive record that explores a variety of sounds and themes, but it never feels confused or lost.”—PASTE #8 50 Best Albums of 2017

“Classic LCD: No one does rock’n’roll disco better… so worth the wait, and such a relief to hear.”—PITCHFORK #12 50 Best Albums of 2017

“With an honest, powerful record like this, LCD only further cemented their spot as dance rock’s best friend.”—CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND Top 50 Albums of 2017

“A spectacular comeback that shatters even the most optimistic expectations.”—POPMATTERS #5 60 Best Albums of 2017

Additionally, LCD Soundsystem will make its debut on Austin City Limits TV on PBS, with an hourlong full episode performance airing February 3, 2018. Check and local listings for further details

“Delicate dreaminess and longing…it’s the highlight of the whole record.”—PASTE

“A gorgeously melancholy mood piece”—AV CLUB

Following this morning’s sneak peek premiere on BuzzFeed, Beck and co-stars Mame, Riku, Gaku and Qoo—follow them on Instagram at @tamanegi.qoo.riku—have proudly unveiled the wonderfully whimsical, dare we say Instagrammable, video for “Fix Me,” from his new album Colors (Capitol Records).

Set in the otherworldly hills of Yamagata, Japan, the video for “Fix Me” is a tender look into the world of Mame and her canine guardians, featuring scenes that oscillate from highly stylized and costumed tableaus to carefree games of frisbee and feasting on birthday cake.

Director Brook Linder commented on the unique experience of making the video: “There’s something really special happening in the mountains of Yamagata, and we were lucky enough to enter Mame’s world for two afternoons in November. That home is heaven on Earth. One of the dogs, Qoo, and I had a special connection —I think he’s my great-grandfather reincarnated… or something. He looked into my soul.”

For the video’s release, Beck has partnered with the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) to enable fans to make an easy charitable donation—simply visit or watch the video here to help make a difference today.

“Fix Me” is the cool down closer of Beck’s 13th album Colors, hailed as “a euphoric blast of experimental pop… fresh and essential” by Rolling Stone, and more recently becoming a fixture of Best of 2017 lists including Rolling Stone, KCRW, Q, ABC, NME, Mojo and more. Colors has been holding strong in the charts since its top 3 debut in October 2017, currently buoyed by the #1 alternative single “Up All Night” and its epic video, the latter nominated in the Best Music Video category of the 60th annual Grammy Awards taking place Sunday, January 28.

A Photography exhibit of THE JOSHUA TREE, Photographs by THE EDGE

In 1986, The Edge documented the monumental journey as his band, U2, travelled into the deserts of California during the making of their iconic The Joshua Tree album. For the first time ever, those photos are on display and a very limited run of individual prints are available for purchase at the Arcane Space in Venice, California.

“I took these photographs without a clear sense of where they might end up. I guess I took them because I felt that this experience and this landscape and this moment in time ought to be remembered and possibly at some point shared.” -The Edge

100% of profits from the sale of the photos will benefit GO Campaign and its local grassroots projects helping vulnerable youth in Los Angeles.

The gallery will be open to the public on November 22nd through December 17th. There will be an opening night reception on November 22nd from 6-8pm. Following that, the space will be open to the public Tuesdays, and Thursdays-Sundays from 11am to 6pm.
(The gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving).

As its 2017 U.S. leg resumes to packed houses and rave reviews, Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold Tour has added seven new headline dates to its North American itinerary.

The North American leg of the tour supporting the international #1 album Concrete and Gold (Roswell Records/RCA Records) has further expanded its itinerary into 2018 with six more headline shows beginning September 1 at SafeCo Field in Seattle and running through September 12 at the SAP Center in San Jose. The first U.S. leg of the Concrete and Gold Tour has continued to storm through sold out arenas in Richmond, Greensboro, Cincinnati, Sioux Falls and more, with Foo Fighters consistently reaching new peaks of their estimable powers. Most recently, the Herald Whig in Champaign IL raved “the energy didn’t slow down at all during the near-three-hour set… If you get the chance, make sure you don’t miss out. You won’t regret it,” and the Argus Leader called the Foos’ first Sioux Falls appearance in decades “musical genius,” reporting that the band “blew away the crowd… pulling off a performance no one in the audience will forget… delivered the classic rock concert their fans know and love.”

U2: Verified Fan Explained Tickets to U2’s eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour on sale November 20th

U2: Verified Fan Explained

Tickets to U2’s eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour on sale November 20th

Hang on! Before your eyes glaze over, this is very important and something you will want to pass on to your readers.

In an effort to keep tickets out of the clutches of bots and scalpers, U2 is implementing Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system to ensure that tickets purchased on November 20th for the band’s North American eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour are purchased by actual fans.

Anyone planning on purchasing U2 tickets on November 20th will need to register by Saturday November 18th at 10pm PST.
you can register here:

Just in case you missed that, let me say it again:

Anyone planning on purchasing U2 tickets on November 20th will need to register by Saturday November 18th at 10pm PST.
you can register here:

Here is what you need to know:

What is Verified Fan?
Verified Fan essentially means that you need to register to prove that you are an actual human. As it pertains to U2, it means you need to sign up by November 18th to become eligible to buy tickets on November 20th when the tour goes on sale.

How do I register?
You can register here:
Signing up is free of course and it takes about two minutes… no really, I just did it.  You sign up, give ’em your cell phone number and you’ll get a text with instructions and a follow up text with a code… That’s all.
With just two text messages you will have access to the wonderful world of bot-free ticket purchasing. Ticketmaster won’t give out your number, and you won’t receive any marketing texts from them ever, unless you request them.
However: You need that code to buy tickets on November 20th.

Why is this a good thing?
Because bots and scalpers are bullies, and they’re buying the good seats and selling them for a mark up. And October was National Bullying Prevention month… did you even know that?
And because this should be the future of ticketing. And we need folks to register for this to work. And we need you, the media, to alert everyone.
So let’s make sure that everyone knows:
Anyone planning on purchasing U2 tickets on November 20th will need to register by Saturday November 18th at 10pm PST.

Can anyone buy tickets on November 20?
Yes! But only if they register as a Verified Fan by November 18th, 10pm PST.
You can register here:

Can you register and not buy tickets?
Yes, just go ahead and register. No one will force you to buy a ticket later.

Can you buy tickets on November 20th if you haven’t registered?
I knew you weren’t paying attention… You need to sign up because we want to make sure that these tickets aren’t getting into the wrong hands. It really bums us out when we see tickets online for ten times their face value. And it really, really bums us out when fans show up at the venue with fake tickets because they didn’t buy them through the proper channels.

Is this different than Paperless Ticketing?
Yes, very.
For one thing, Paperless Ticketing is not yet legal in New York.
Also, there are a few pitfalls with paperless ticketing that we’d like to avoid… For example, you buy 4 U2 tickets like a good friend does, and then your sister decides to get married that day and you have to miss the show. Your friends should still get to go to the show, right?
Things happen, we get it.

Does registering guarantee you’ll get to buy a ticket?
No. This is an arena tour, which is like a club show when you’re the biggest band in the world, so it will probably sell out.
Also, if you aren’t a human you won’t get the code. Oh and if you’re attempting to acquire thousands of codes for each city, Ticketmaster will notice and they will unfriend you.
You can buy up to four tickets per show with each code, while ticket availability lasts.

If you are a subscriber do you need to register?
Yes! You have a different window, a very special window at the front of the line. You should go here for specific subscriber information:

Do it now! subscribers deadline for the Verified Fan registration is November 12th.

Do you need to register if you’re a Citi Card member?
Also yes!
Citi Card members have until November 14th to register.
And guess what? You can register here:

Where do I go if I still have further questions?

Here are those tour dates again so you have ’em handy:

May 2 – Tulsa, OK – BOK Center
May 4 – St. Louis, MO – Scottrade Center
May 7 – San Jose, CA SAP – Center
May 11 – Las Vegas, NV – T-Mobile Arena

The sold out Gorillaz show at the Forum continues the Humanz tour that began its sold-out North American run July 8 in Chicago. The tour has played Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Detroit, St. Paul, Kansas City, Denver, Las Vegas and more to the largest and most enthusiastic U.S. crowds Gorillaz has seen to date—and critical response has been equally enthusiastic:

“An overwhelming pop spectacle, with Damon Albarn’s steady presence to keep the audience focused”—ROLLING STONE

“The guests came fast and furious… but despite the frontman’s oft-stated wishes to increasingly blur into the group’s background as they evolve – last night was still unquestionably Damon’s show, as both star and director, and it ended as a smashing success for fans of all ages.”–BILLBOARD

“The ultimate triumph was Albarn’s — a multiculti, multigenre musical journey that touched on hip-hop, funk, Chicago house and gospel.”—CHICAGO TRIBUNE

“Gorillaz may be a ‘virtual’ band comprised of cartoon characters drawn by Tank Girl co-creator Jamie Hewlett.
